In this concert tuned to awe and contemplation, ten singers conducted by Nicholas Nicolaidis juxtapose choral music of J. S. Bach with the most important German Baroque composer to precede him, Heinrich Schutz. The program features Bach's longest and most complex motet, Jesu, meine Freude (BWV 227), selections from Schutz's Musikalische Exequien, motets by Monteverdi and Bruckner, and four movements of Bach's suites for unaccompanied cello, performed by Felix Deak.
Admission is Pay-What-You-Can ($30 suggestion)
