Completing your annual tax return is the best way to ensure that citizens receive all of the tax credits and other financial assistance programs to which they may be entitled. Saint John's sponsors and operates a volunteer tax program in cooperation with the Canada Revenue Agency's Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). Our volunteers may be able to do taxes for free, by videoconference or phone.
Due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, our in-person free tax clinics were suspended. In response, we are pleased that we are now able to hold virtual clinics on an interim basis to help complete tax returns while still following physical distancing guidelines.
