Come and celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, more commonly called Candlemas.

Candlemas is the last of three feasts about the infancy of Jesus, following Christmas and Epiphany. It is also the traditional time for blessing candles to be used throughout the year.

We begin with a candlelit procession through the church and join together in the first prayers of this festival, remembering the prophecy shared by Simeon and the good news spread to the world by the Prophetess Anna.

If you have candles at home that you would like blessed, please bring them with you! (Dropping them off at morning worship is also good!)

NB: Incense will be used in this liturgy.
