The diocese is thrilled to announce a new faith formation resource designed for parishes to support the spiritual and relational needs of adults in their second half of life, particularly grandparents, great-grandparents, and other caring adults. The Grandparents Club aims to nurture their ongoing spiritual growth and strengthen their relationships with younger generations. It recognizes that faith formation does not end with age and invites participants into a deeper relationship with God through renewed spiritual practices.
The resource is missional in nature and equips participants to accompany children, youth, and young adults with wisdom, attentive listening, and gentle encouragement. It also fosters meaningful community, offering a supportive space to build friendships, share experiences, and reduce isolation while living out faith across generations.
Using this resource, the Grandparents Club is easy to implement, and any questions can be directed to Monica Romig Green, the author and diocesan faith formation coordinator. You can reach Monica by email at monica.green@niagaraanglican.ca
