Ash Wednesday is a holy day of fasting and prayer which marks the beginning of Lent. We gather on this day each year to remember our frailty, recall our reliance on God, confess our sins, and be reconciled to God, the Church, and each other. In this way, we begin the discipline of the great season of Lent with hearts and minds fixed on Jesus Christ who will be our companion through it all.
