The Reverend Thomas Wilding, the long-time Honorary Assitant at the Church of Saint John the Evangelist, died on Sunday, May 5, after a short illness. Tom is survived by his wife Marjory, and children, Thomas, Christopher (Laura), Catherine (Gerald), Helen (Philip), and Margaret (Peter); and grandchildren, James, David, Anja, Grayson, Kiri, and Patrick.

Tom had a long career in parish ministry in various dioceses across Canada and the world, having served not only in Niagara, but Toronto, Huron, Kootenay, and Australia. In his retirement Tom was always an enthusiatic supporter of the Church of Saint John the Evangelist. In addition to offering priestly ministry and pastoral visitation, he sang in the choir for many years. He was a great lover of music.

Funeral services for the Reverend Tom Wilding will be held at the Church of Saint John the Evangelist on Saturday, May 11, at 11AM. A light luncheon will follow in the parish Activity Centre.

Clergy are invited to vest (white stole).
