As shared previously, St John's is sponsoring a family relating to our 2024 resettlement of an Afghan family. The sponsorship is being facilitated by the Diocese of Niagara. 
 
Exciting news! The application to the federal government is in its final stages and will be submitted within the coming weeks. We are very close to reaching the required $17,500 down payment, thanks to fundraising from our partner Taskforce NYX, proceeds from the May 31 parish lawn sale, and individual donations to the refugee fund. 
 
If you would like to make a donation, or know someone else who might, it would be ideal to get these submitted as soon as possible. Every bit helps! Pease use this link to see giving options, mark it “refugee fund” and include your name and address to receive a charitable donation receipt.
