My wife Janice and I would like to express appreciation for your prayers over the last two years.  We are more famously known as Jenna’s mom and dad as well as nana and poppa to Henri, Silas and Louie.  We have some wonderful news to share.  I had my “final” bone marrow biopsy ten days ago and late last week the result came back “zero marginal residual disease”.  This is what we have all been praying for over these last two years after I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Thanks to you all for your prayers.  None of us anticipate or look forward to being on “the prayer list”.  But is it a wonderful thing in fact!

The “Prayer List”:

  • Reminds us that God is “touched with the feeling of our infirmities”
  • Encourages us that God not only “feels” but knows
  • Enables the process of pastoral care by clergy and fellow parishioners
  • Assures the sick they are not forgotten
  • Gives impetus for others to check in over the long haul
  • Comforts us that we are not alone in suffering
  • Frames life for everyone as a constant mix of consolation and desolation
  • Soothes the soul in drawing us all nearer to God
  • Touches off prayer not just on Sunday morning but other times too

Thanks for adding your prayers to many others.  Your support got us through a very tough trial.
