Thank you to everyone who came to Hearts and Minds to meet the Akbaris and make
them feel so welcome. A special thank you to Elizabeth Steeves who helped Jawad and
Sabira with their presentation and their answers in English to her interview questions. It
was also an opportunity to meet Marzira, a newcomer from Afghanistan as well,
privately sponsored by another family.


The Niagara Anglican Newspaper has posted their story on the front page of the June
