Come help us sow a few winter-containers of seeds for the church garden and also sow one to take home for your garden (or to gift to a friend) as our thanks. We’ll have seeds for several different native plant species to choose from. Feel free to bring/invite others to join us - it’s also a kid-friendly activity.

We will provide all of the supplies that are required for winter-sowing (containers, potting mix, seeds, cutting tools, labels and duct tape). We should have enough empty containers to go around, but if you want to, bring along your own empty container suitable for winter-sowing. Any clear plastic container at least 5-6” in height: 4L water/juice bottles or lettuce clam-shell containers work well.

We're looking forward to both doing some winter-sowing and to the upcoming 2026 garden season! Any questions, suggestions or comments, please let us know.  If you are new to winter-sowing and would like more information about the why-when-how’s, check out this link.
