Sunset (8:07PM) | The Lighting of New Fire. The new fire of Easter is lit in the front courtyard of the church.

Twilight (8:38PM | The Great Vigil of Easter. The celebration of the resurrection of our Lord begins with the Great Vigil: The Service of Light; The Liturgy of the Word, "recalling how God saved people throughout and in the fullness of time, sent his own Son to be our Redeemer"; The Renewal of Baptismal Vows; The Celebration of Holy Eucharist with the Parish Choir. Worshippers are invited to bring bells to ring during the first Gloria of Easter. 

Presiding Celebrant: The Rector; Preacher: The Reverend Canon Dr. Brian Ruttan.

Eucharistic Setting: "The Saint John's Eucharist (Renwick); Anthem: "Christ the Lord is risen again" (John Rutter); Motet: "When Mary through the garden went" (Charles Villiers Stanford); Voluntary: "Toccata in G" (Théodore Dubois). 

Our annual Resurrection Party follows in the crypt cafe. (Bring savoury or sweet treats to share.)
