The Reverend Andrew Rampton is the rector of the Church of St John the Evangelist, Hamilton. He was educated at St John's College at the University of Manitoba, Huron University College, and the University of Western Ontario. Prior to ordained ministry, Andrew worked as a musician and arts administrator.
Andrew loves conversations about God, faith, the church, and all of the interesting stories those subjects contain. Church history, liturgical theology, and the communion of saints are favourite topics, but he's happy to hear questions or ideas on just about any topic.
Outside of the parish, he serves on the national Liturgical Advisory Committee, the International Anglican Liturgical Consultation, is the vice-president of the Canadian Church Historical Society, and the convenor of the Annunciation Chapter of The Society of Catholic Priests.
Andrew writes regularly at bookishpriest.com. He and his husband are enjoying getting to know a new-to-them region of Canada, having relocated to Hamilton in 2024.
