I just learned about the 5 Finger Prayer a month or two ago, and I find it really helpful. This is a great resource for teaching small kids to pray. And...if we're honest...it can also be also a great resource for us adults. I don't know about you, but I often leave out categories of people I should be praying for if I'm just praying off the top of my head, without prompts.
If you're unfamiliar with the 5 Finger Prayer, the basics are this: You use each finger as a prompt to pray for a group of people - those closest to you (the thumb); those who point the way, like teachers (the pointer finger); the who lead us (the tallest finger); the sick, poor, and needy (the ring finger); and finally ourselves (the pinky).
Try it out! With the kids, or just on your own. Have a lovely weekend (nearly). -- Rebecca outuponthewaters.com
