Prayer: Does it Make Any Difference? by Philip Yancey

There are books on prayer which quickly make you feel like a failure and as if you haven’t begun! What I love about this book is that Philip Yancey seems to understand my weakness and failure in prayer, and begins where I am.  He also includes many stories of prayer, both joyful and tragic, which he invited people to send to him, so that we hear the voices of “ordinary Christians” alongside his own. This is a book worth reading more than once—and how often can you say that?
