Thanks to the diligence and generosity of many volunteers, our refugee family is settling into their new home and gradually connecting to their local community of Westdale. They are enjoying riding their bikes and taking walks around the neighbourhood. Mona is using the HRS independently to attend classes at St. Charles up the escarpment. Plans are underway for Laya and Shabika to attend English classes.
Thank you again to all who donated household items and volunteered to help with a very successful move.
The very best way to help right now is to donate to the Refugee Fund using the link on this page (please choose "Refugee Sponsorship" from the dropdown menu) and to participate in our fundraiser. .
