Most Sundays the team of just two people, Linda Palmer and Ruth Sutherland:

  • make sure there is milk (ie buy it) and that someone is bringing refreshments
  • make the coffee and tea, prepare the refreshment before the 9:30 service
  • serve and clean up after the 9:30 service and prepare the above for the 11:00 service
  • serve and clean up after the 11:00 service
  • look after the dishwasher; fill, empty and clean up at some point
  • On joint 4th Sundays as well as the above, they:
  • bring up the coffee, tea, milk and cups up in the elevator, serve it there and return it afterwards as well as cut up and serve the donuts upstairs

That is amazing so How Can We Help? Many people are needed to do something! Here are some suggestions

  • Offer to do one part of the process, sometimes or always. The 11:00 service serving and clean up is especially needed as both Linda and Ruth attend the 9:30 service.
  • offer to assist one of them so that the other can take a break
  • offer to help on 4th Sundays
  • offer to learn the process and willing to be asked to look after the coffee time when they both plan to be away (or there will be no coffee time)
