A note from the Stewardship Team

On behalf of the Stewardship Committee, thank you for your continued support of our mission here throughout the first half of the year. As we are in the midst of summer and vacation season, a small reminder to schedule your donations and provide any updates on your Pre-Authorized Giving or planned regular giving to Ruth S.

We would also like to leave you with this short meditation on giving  that formed part of a recent sermon by divinity student Adam MacNeil:

As I was sitting with this story this week, I was reminded of a prayer said often at the 8am service at the time of the offertory: “All things come of thee, O Lord, and of thine own have we given thee”. It is a deeply humbling acknowledgment: nothing we have is completely our own – not money, family, education, gifts, nor time, -- everything we have belongs to God, and so to accumulate these things to just build up ourselves, rather than God’s Kingdom, would be to misunderstand the purpose of the gifts God gives us.
