The Church of St. John the Evangelist, together with Green Venture, and other community partners, invite you to a Blessing of the New Rain Garden at the corner of Locke Street South and Charlton Avenue West, just outside St. John's.
The partnership between St. John's is part of Green Venture is part of the NATURhood program which supports neighbours working together for the greener good through water-based solutions. Our goal is that this garden becomes a place of collaboration and learning for all our neighbours.
The brief ceremony of the blessing will take place on Sunday afternoon, June 12, at 2PM. Some of our knowledgable partners will be on hand on hand to answer your questions about stormwater managment, and how we can protect our natural waterways, as well as how you might install a rain garden on your own property.
The office remains closed due the the coronavirus pandemic and is opened only by appointment.
Preregistration is no longer required to attend worship services. Masking is no longer required, but is recommended.
