Story - “Two People whose Sadness Turned to Joy”

John is telling the story about two people who loved Jesus, Cleopas, and his wife Mary. They were very sad because Jesus had been killed while they were in Jerusalem. So they decided to go home to Emmaus about 10 km away and as they walked they talked about Jesus, because they him missed so much. Just then, a stranger started to walk with then and asked what they were talking about.  Hear what the stranger told them and the amazing thing that happened when he stayed at their house for supper!

Songs - John has some special Messy Church songs for you, with ideas for actions!

“Hallelu, Hallelu, Praise ye the Lord” and
“If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands”

MESSY CHURCH is a fresh new way of experiencing church.

It's for all ages. It's fun. It's family friendly.

Every month, it's built around a theme – activities, celebration and a meal.

It happens when you arrive - the doors open at 5PM but you come as you are able. It's creating, worshipping and sharing a meal together.

A typical gathering
