 the Sanctus. The quick\, pecking repeated notes in that movement are what 
 evoke the sound of sparrows chattering.\nThe choir of St John the Evangeli
 st will be accompanied by a small\, professional orchestra of strings\, tr
 umpets\, and drums\, conducted by Paul Grimwood.. Also being sung are Alma
  Dei creatoris\, K 277\, and Tantum ergo\, K 197.\nThe Mass will be prese
 nted as a service for the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin\, 
 as it may have been sung at the time\, with short orchestral selections as
  well. Soloists for the Sparrow Mass will be Beverly Bronté-Tinkew\, sopr
 ano\; Mari van Pelt\, alto\; Timothy Lo\, tenor and Tom Fleming\, bass. Th
 e Rector of St John’s\, The Rev. Andrew Rampton\, will preside.\nThere i
 s no charge for admission\, but a free-will offering will be received. Inc
 ense may be used.
