Larry Ricciardelli Shares a Faith Story

"Testimony" is one of the practices of our Christian faith. Over the past number of years a tradition has grown up at SJE where people share their faith stories with one another during the season of Lent. One of our small groups has committed to sharing their individual stories on the parish web site and in the upcoming parish newsletter.

In the third installment, Larry Ricciardelli shares his story here.

Thank you for sharing this Larry...It was both wonderful and inspiring. It is hard to love others we dislike....Indeed, Jesus calls us to love our 'enemies'. It has been an eyeopening experience for me to discover within myself the things I dislike about others...and to come to learn that the way the natural mechanism of relationships works is that we dislike in others the parts that we disown in ourselves and don't like.
This is a profound insight, and it requires the grace of God to learn to love others we do not like.
