Ascension Day Choral Evensong

Ascension Day is an important feast in our tradition, observed 40 days after Easter Day. This feast recalls the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven and marks the last ten days of Eastertide, looking toward the Day of Pentecost.

There will be a liturgy of Choral Evensong on Ascension Day, May 9 2024, at 7:30 pm. The Preces and Responses are Richard Ayleward's setting. Music by Paul Grimwood and the Senior Choir. The Rev. Canon Dr. Brian Ruttan preaching, the Rev. Andrew Rampton presiding. The liturgy will include use of incense.
